[Misc.] Why Kanetsugu?
Chu asked me why Kanetsugu is getting a bonus, here’s why:
Like many things in PAD, Kanetsugu is based off a Japanese Samurai in 16th-17th centuries (Sengoku period), named Naoe Kanetsugu. He served in the Uesugi clan, which was based in Echigo province during the era. The same location is now Niigata prefecture, which is the region of Japan that this GungHo Fes. (on 5/6) is held in!
Fun fact, his armor is famous for having the kanji 愛 (ai, meaning love), which is why Kanetsugu also has the kanji on its head and wings.
I really enjoyed the background information on the comparatives of the art and history for these characters and would love to see it more
