An interesting Japanese news today, on how PAD managed to be the reason a case was solved. It really was the missing piece of the puzzle!

The incident

News from Livedoor news.

A man (23) found a lost phone of a salary-man (43) last year inside a Karaoke shop near Oomiya station (Saitama area in Japan). This young man transferred game data of PAD into his smartphone. The man was later located via IP address etc., and was arrested on March 12, 2020.

The thoughts

• Yes there are a lot of PAD players who are over 40! (I’ve personally seen a lot of them on trains in Japan)
• PAD (and GungHo) helps finding lost phones (lol)
• That account must’ve been pretty whale… for one to want to steal it.
• Seriously, remember to back up your PAD account.
