Attribute Change – An Interesting Way to Survive Poison Orbs
Here’s an interesting case where you can survive a full Poison orb board, that many may not know!
This was shared by Upc, who feels like a lot of people don’t know the trick. Thanks boss!
Posted on Padpadblog is the following Tweet, leading with Leven
(or Raven/Reven, whatever his name will become):

What happened?
Let’s start by looking at Leven
, who is a 4x HP leader boosting Fire attribute cards. Here’s his leader skill as a reminder:
2x HP for Fire Att.; 12x ATK when below 50% HP; 2x ATK and increase combo by 1 when matching 3 or more colors

When Scheat
‘s assist (possibly Zweihander
or Masamune
) was used, Scheat’s attribute becomes
Water (no more
Fire). This means Scheat won’t contribute to the leader skill. You can see HP drops from 130,230 to 111,556.

After the Poison orb swipe and a lucky Fire orb skyfall (no heal), you’d expect death. 30 Poison orbs deals damage equal to 155% of your HP, so you’re basically dead unless you heal by skyfall.
Here you do see HP drops to 0… and you’d expect a game over screen.

…But the team survived. Once Scheat’s attribute change wears off, you gain 18674 HP from 0! (that’s what Scheat in the team gets, from the leader skill boost)

Not just a poison sea…
Padpadblog also showed another case – Even with just one poison orb (at HP 1), same thing happens. You can survive with the attribute change trick!

Thoughts
This really isn’t the most general way you can counter poison, but in case of emergency, this can save you a Magic Stone or a good run? Certainly something interesting to keep in mind anyhow.
Very situational but great to know
🙂
