Upc (one of PDX’s big boss / NA server’s highest ranked player) has a little tip for Zela Kitty players!

Quoting Upc:

I see this question come up at times from people skilling King Plesios for Zeta or King Brachy for Zela Kitty , so here is what I usually do as an alternative to tech mech dragons:

Solo run the respective normal Legendary Dragons’ Footprints (30 stamina) for 2 chances of dungeon skill-ups + 1 chance of boss skill-up drop (these ones ). The Plesiel /Brachio that occasionally drops can also be evolved for cheap as Kingtan skill-up.

Skill level-up from dungeon.

Dungeon is easy enough that you can lead Veroah + Kagutsuchi /Vaj and skill multiple Brachy/Pleasios at the same time. This can also be done during 1/2 stamina bonus if you’re really concerned about the stamina cost.

Note that while you have multiple chances, this is still not an 100% skill-up method. You may have better luck using Kingtans with all the fodders you get.

  1. I believe that the skillup rate is 10%, and that more than one enemy with a skill won’t increase the skillup chance. However, I don’t have the statistics. I have the raw recorded data, but didn’t analyze it.

A few of the Technicals also have guaranteed Brachies, Flower Chimeras, and Fafnirs, some offering lower stamina cost, fewer floors, and/or better rewards. Whether they’re better overall depends on how dungeon skillups work.

Tip: You can skill up multiples to trade to other players. Three players can do a skillup triangle (saving 1/3 the time and cost of skilling up all three), you can trade for valuable monsters, or you can just be nice to newer players.
