[PAD Gold] Mecha Toragon: DLC from CoroCoro Magazine

A bit of information about the first downloadable content (DLC) for PAD Gold, except.. sort of Japan only.

This also means in the future there could be more content added to PAD Gold! (I hope so)

This is Mecha Toragon! It’s the 22th Leader available in PAD Gold, which can be obtained by purchasing CoroCoro magazine (Japanese magazine, costs 600 yen). There may be more methods to obtain it later, but for now it’s only available through the magazine. 

It also comes as a preset team, shown below:

Japan-exclusive?

Not really actually. I claimed the code on my North American version of the game (which really shouldn’t be different), and it worked. The hardest part is getting your hands on the magazine, especially if you really like Toragon.

That’s my own Switch, on PAD-G downloaded from NA Nintendo Shop.

In the magazine you can find this, which has a unique code for a Mecha Toragon. You simply enter the code in game, under “Present Code” (the present box at the bottom of main menu), and that adds the new preset team.

  1. It’s pretty funny that the code from a JP mag would work in the NA version. Blow people’s minds in PvP with a unit the opponent has no idea how to get lol

    1. It is not really all that surprising, since both versions of the game support Japanese and English. Because of that, it would be surprising if the two versions were not just the same thing, with minor adjustments for the default language.

    2. If you are missing anything after getting all of the purchasable teams, and completing the story, you have to battle Zet and Ace in the practice matches. I believe they are numbers twelve and thirteen, if those are the ones you are missing. That will give you Avalon Drake and Lance.
