[Patch Note] Version 18.7 update! New Awakening, Row Enhance buff, switchable Titles, & more!

Version 18.7 update which fixes a bunch of bugs, adds new awakenings, buffs Row Enhance awakenings, and more!

[iOS] App OS support changes

Starting from this update, PAD will require iOS 11.0 or later on Apple devices.

New PAD Pass-only badge: +3 sec match & infinity cost

As announced during recent stream! This will replace regular infinity cost while PAD Pass subscription is active.

Some note:

  • When entering dungeons with restrictions on move time, the restriction has priority over the badge.
  • When team leader is fixed move time, that takes priority over the badge.
  • Only Infinite team cost will be in effect when playing as 2-player co-op.
Badge effect: Infinite team cost and Increase move time by 3 seconds

New button to unsubscribe from PAD Pass

To make it easier to unsubscribe whenever needed. This is found at Shop [ショップ] –> PAD Pass [パズドラパス] screen.

New floor in Alt. Illusory World of Carnage (Alt. Shura Realm)!

Pys of any attributes can be used to skill up cards with no main attributes

Any color of Py will give 1 skill level up, for those no main att. cards.

Great for the recent Shikigami Tsukai & Ayakashi series, that cannot be easily skilled up!

New awakening – Attribute Combo Enhance

Fire Combo Enhance【火コンボ強化】
Fire att. ATK increase when matching 2+ Fire combos
Water Combo Enhance【水コンボ強化】
Water att. ATK increase when matching 2+ Water combos
Wood Combo Enhance【木コンボ強化】
Wood att. ATK increase when matching 2+ Wood combos
Light Combo Enhance【光コンボ強化】
Light att. ATK increase when matching 2+ Light combos
Dark Combo Enhance【闇コンボ強化】
Dark att. ATK increase when matching 2+ Dark combos

The math

Thanks to Karyu, the formula of the new Attribute Combo Awakening is as following:

1 + 0.15 * a * (n-1)

where:

  • 1 is the base damage
  • 0.15 = 15% which is the boost amount of Attribute combo awakening 
  • a is the number of the awakening in the team 
  • n is the number of match of that particular attribute

Therefore, let’s say I have 2 in the team, and I matched 3 Fire combos in 1 round, the spike would be: 1 + 0.15 * 2 * (3-1) = x1.6 damage for Fire attribute.

Awakening adjustments

Row Enhance

Row Enhance will be buffed from +15% each to +20% each. Some consequences with this change:

1. All cards with 5 or more awakenings will have their number of Row Enhance awakening reduced by 1 (except Kamen Rider Ryuki).

2. Actives that are based on Row Enhance awakenings will also be adjusted:

  • +30% each → +40% each
  • +50% each → +60% each

Team Recovery +

Team RCV will be buffed from +10% each to +20% each.

Leader skills that does follow-up damage will be able to always land their damage regardless of any form of shields

(That’s the fix for Aljae, who was having issues piercing through shields after her buff)

New improved matching effects

Gotta say this looks like fleas.

This can be turned on at: Other [その他] –> Option [オプション] –> Dungeon [ダンジョン] → Toggle “New Effect” 「新エフェクト」to ON.

Default is set to OFF.

Title will be selectable

Previously titles such as Pro, Official, or King will override the Devil title. Now you can pick whichever title you own.

This can be edited at Other [その他] –> User Info [ユーザー情報] –> Set Title [称号設定], First in black is “none”.

Changes may take up to 24 hours to be in effect to other users.

Other changes

  • Bug fixes and small brush-ups as per usual.

    I hope bride zela gets one of these awakenings eventually!

  2. I’ve always liked rows. Gonna be interesting though to see if those with a lot of rows will get an awakening in place of the one row being removed. I’m so used to seeing full awakening columns but with one missing it’s gonna look odd lol

    1. It will be replaced with something. As of now Christmas Saline and Uriel’s was replaced with skill boost.

      1. Skill boosts are always a good thing, especially since I like to transform my 30 turn transform dudes and chicks on the first turn. Pixel Shust, Rodin and Blodin would be great with even more skill boosts.

  3. So the attribute combo enhance is less effective than rows per-awakening if you make the bare minimum of 2 matches, and more effective if you can make 3+. The problem is there are more mons that stack rows than attribute combo enhance. Let’s say on average you can build a team with 2x as many rows as attribute combo enhance: then you’d need 4 matches (12 orbs) for attribute combo enhance to outdo the row team doing a /single/ row of 6 orbs. And the row team can just match a 2nd row and outdo the attribute combo team.

    On the other hand, attribute combo enhance looks like it’ll end up being used as a bonus to cards that are already stacking 7c, which blows rows out of the water for damage anyway.

    1. I guess my conclusion is that all we can do is wait and see who else gets attribute combo enhance. Hopefully we get something good.

  4. N A never gets somthing goood if we did gunghos N.A problems would go away that being said JP and N.A should run side by side not be a version behind All The TiME!!!!
