[Teaser Day 7 Updated!] Jujutsu Kaisen Collab Teasers!

The collab we all knew before the stream! Took PAD long enough to have a collab with Jujutsu Kaisen but here it is!

Jujutsu Kaisen Collab announced on HK/TW server.

HK/TW server, which is the closest to JP server, had announced the collab as well. This does not mean 100% chance for the collab to appear in KR or NA servers, stay tuned for official announcements.

Note on new awakenings

3, 4 and 5 Color Boosts

YamaP tweeted that the damage scaling for the new color awakenings will be as following:

  • 3 color: 2.5x 
  • 4 color: 3.5x 
  • 5 color: 4.5x

These can be changed in future.

Nail Orbs

For every Nail orb matched, you deal dmg equal to 1% max HP of enemies.

  1. me: somewhat disappointed that this was the only collab announcement. They could have at least given tips on the few next upcoming ones like JP is due for a MH rerun since the last was only for 2 days, or MTG, FMA, YYH…
    but also me: 🐼🐼🐼😍🥰😍🥰😍🐼🐼 panda is so cute

    1. We do not usually get multiple collab announcements outside of anniversary or Gungho Fest. I hope we see an FMA rerun, since it is the 20th anniversary and all. YYH might get a rerun when the live action series starts to air, but probably not before then. Monster Hunter is pretty much the one thing we can count on coming back without any reason for it, so I am sure we will see at some point before the end of the year.

    Can’t wait to see what maniac stuff they’re gonna do with this, lol. They sure are introducing a ton of funky new negative effects (skill bind self, skill delay self, etc.).

  3. 25 turn cooldown. Might as well not even have an active skill. you can use it one in a dungeon and twice in arena or higher. 25x atk boost? yay, xmas genie can finally hit the damage cap? thats so excessive. its one turn where you can guarantee subatt also hit the cap but super 1 and exodia’s 10x boosts do that too on lower cooldowns.

    These new rainbow awakenings cam really help rainbow teams when it comes to their difficulty in reaching the damage caps but it does nothing to fix the damage void and attribute absorption problems rainbow teams are inherently bad against. Taking those att and void latents also leave no room for double damage cap nor enough sdr’s.

    The nail orb sounds cool but it has the same issue that Kami had, its delayed damage boost. you can preemtivly use a nail orb skyfall to prepare for a hard floor your need to one shot but since in arenas etc spawns are not fixed you wont truely be able to prepare. I think if the active skill got ‘refreshes orbs’ added it would be more useable. It will also be cool to see what board refresh cheeses can be done with nail orbs.

    I think alternative transform methods are interesting, but 20 turns is too long with the requirement of low hp. Low HP is something no one really wants to be at. <50 is a farming awoken and playstyle and Euchs really should be on tier lists, the sub support exists, his active skill is great, and his leader skill is strong. No one wants to play a low HP lead though. its a huge burden and I dont think such a long cooldown is an equivalent exchange when a preempt can kill you next then if you get heart orb trolled.

    1. Apparently the reason for the 25x is “black flash is 2.5x multiplier” and “but 2.5x is too low for an atk boost” (lol, then I guess ferule, grandis 3x atk boost are “trash” from this way of thinking then) so they made it 25 instead.

      They tried to make it match the series but forgetting the fact that black flash is not even an “ultimate-all-killing-insta-death-move” but just a power up for normal atk, since there are characters tanking chains of black flash power hits.

      1. ah, its a pun in japanese. I watched the anime after the announcement and yeah, I remember itadori complaining about not having a spirit gun and then using black flash to power up fighting the plant guy.

        It might not even be the biggest buff. Kotone eq is 60% per red row awakening. many cards got rows condensed but their still might be enough to out spike it in some confogurations.

  4. There a problem I already see with these color awakenings when there’s more to an one like with Fuahiguro Ult. All these cards only have 8 awakening slots because their stats are artificially raised 10% by skill voice. That means less utility slots. Then two are taken up for the new rainbow awakening and then you have the usual suspects of bind and skill lock resist and and SB. The tape is a waste too since tape is usually covered by a SA or equip awakening like blood gem from fujimi and the VDP wont get you value usually since you will also need 3 att. There’s no room for general damage boosting. You can’t use this card as a sub for anything but a rainbow team because he wont do any damage when you use a dark/heart board (safi jiva and orphen) change or use an active skill to create dark and heart and lose attributes. the only dark attribute focused board change I can come up with for him is Haku.

    This collab is a victim of: theres a new awakening! lets put it on everything! and thats a worse fate than being white in South Africa outside the major cities. as well as the curse of old stat increase awakenings that eventually got removed and added to base stats. Can GH really not figure out how to make characters say things without it taking an awoken slot? there’s a settings toggle to turn them off without needing to leave the awakening un activated.

    1. assuming the main att is able to hit the damage cap, 10x is enough for even cards with matching main and sub att to hit the cap too (sub att does 10% so it will reach up to main att damage). As long as you reach cap without using att specific increases like rows, edamame, enhance, then a 3 or 4 times spike can make subatt reach cap with main. you get it 6 or 7 turns against dark alberts 90bil hp to kill him so subatt are helpful in making killing him more consistent but magneto with DDC latent has been gpod enough for me against dark albert.
      A strong spike is very useful but after 10x its really just a meme that makes the cooldown too long. speaking of long cooldown, Super 1 feels super weak with a 10 cooldown after having to do so many transforms compared to the fairy seedlings with only 2 steps and better skills.

  5. Maybe Guard Break is going to be buffed to include att absorb and void void to save rainbow. The 6 frame latents feel like a mistake long term. Even the skyfall hazard resists could have just been a 20% chance to block after the first 5 or super resist of that kind.

    1. GH kinda do it themselve: when dmg void latent was released, rainbow still performed well in terms of dmg, row teams back then lacked personal dmg like yugi, haohmaru, or lead-handicap like dante (where 1 has only vdp and 1 has none so only 1/2 leaders can deal dmg at any point) the only exception is norza teams but they are more squishy so it’s like a tradeoff. No card could come close to Aten’s level of dmg. No one sees a problem with dmg void taking 6 slots, it’s a powerful/good latent, just like hazard skyfall res.

      But then we had shura 1 – TA2 on steroid, then to deal with that, they released gileon, ferule: tanky leads with both personal dmg and row stackings, supported by OP short-cd system. Then we had shura 2 – shura 1 but spawns hit you like a full-steam train. So GH released even tankier leads: now why would use mikage today when oak, naut have the same effective HP but much more reliable, both need 25+6 sb and it’s easier to obtain either oak or naut than mikage?

      1. Because reruns. If the chase cards are left behind is lest incentive for rolls. Remember that Mickey need a rerun plus buffs. The main card is the best Light Cleric and pack some firepower so more reason for roll that collab (or trade)

    2. If they were to buff the void latent awakening to where you didn’t need to match heal orbs then that would be an improvement. A lot of rainbow board creators don’t create heal orbs. I mean, I’m still able to use it when I need it but it would pair better with the guard break if they did.

  6. More rainbow cards revealed. This is going to be a very broken collab, not broken like Marvel though. Broken like Duelma where you are better off not rolling. NA wont het things like MHA nor Marvel, but we do always get this kind of garbage.

  7. I’m surprised they didn’t try and make this a powerhouse of a collab. Then again I guess they just want players to focus on what’s already out there and future buffs.

    1. did you see the gungho buffs for Aoi and Loki? They got a SB and a TE added for this upcoming run– only that… the last GH run actually gave really good buffs to older cards. I don’t want Minerva, Raizer, Lilia and orher cards that are almost good get screwed out of the meta because YamaP isn’t feeling buffy rn. GungHo might be taking a break from buffing cards to let JP players experiment with jewjuitsu or enjoy their Naut, Oak, Hisbiscus teams before next meta shift.

      1. I’m not even bothering with the GH collab. Aside from possiblly getting the new orb skin just to have it that is. Anyways Google Play Store is messed up and still giving that wrong country error. I would’ve preferred Heroine instead of GH so I can get that Romia buff. Made four evo Gorkaos fully skilled and the same for Gorkaos and Gorfeis. Nothing left to do right now for me in the NA region on PAD but collect those diamond dragons from the new arena.

        1. Ros and the other fairies take 20 million exp to max so some 3pa2 to get snow globes can be done.
          Belial from GH is used on some Ros teams. The ult seems like an interested sub for Euchs.
          Doing whatever farms you need to get rainbows to get DDC latents for lv 120 cards for Mysterious Dimension. Sans Wolverine and Magneto I dont really know who to use it on for MD though. If you cleared Shura 3 with Naut you can use the same exact team to clear MD… Naut is the new Mega Green Sonia.
          I think I recall a rank 1000 roll reset during star weaving fairies so if you aren’t 1k you can… farm shura… yayyyyy.
          Thats really all there is to look forward to after Pati and Romia collab ends– basically farm shura and 3pa2 for materials to beat MD with Ros or Naut. I wish their was more.

          1. I’m rank 1050 so I’m good with that. Beat all the dungeons we have in NA so far, just stocking up on fat diamond dragons now. Alt Shura 2 is pretty quick with Nadeko x Nautilus with an extra Nadeko thrown in on the team. It just gets boring stocking up. I have a couple full teams of level 120 people with the damage cap increase awakening. I want Romia to get her buff since I have her ready and waiting to be inserted on a team. I just get bored easy and grinding gets monotonous lol. Probably because I’m getting old. SMH

            1. hmm. Maybe I don’t want a Nautilus then. He sounds boring. My main teams are MiadaxKaiba, 4RemDra, Revo Orphen, and Bride Roche (wannabe Naut pairing) and Capt Marvel, and Tanj as farming leads. On NA I am 900s both NA and JP farming shura is boring. I’d just take a hiatus collecting stones, maybe pick up Fairy title to celebrate june next year, come back later.

              1. Lol. Nope, I’m good. For one, I’m not into dudes, Secondly PAD is just a hobby and something I play when I’m not working or doing my other hobbies. Sounds like you’re projecting a bit there kid. One day you’ll have a job and a life outside of it.

          2. When it comes to leveling up the faeries, I’ll just do them one at a time in the Hellish Training Arena. I have a free slot if I cheese it so it’ll be an easy way to max level em.

  8. hey its kinda fun that on this blog we have a lot more choice in what we say than gungho mail, but let’s not make ourselves sound ignorant or Reni might take our fun away. plus, since Im always anon on this blog, people might think I wrote that because I was making the n jokes earlier on older posts with no name. Maybe we can get a 4channel thread going where we can trash on YamaP unfiltered. Theres a board there that has a lot of JO soshage threads. Lets not bug Reni with this stiff when the site’s been stressful and she just let us know she had to change apartments after her covid eviction protection ended. For example, new Fagan Rai dark ult, thats a gud nigga. These Jewjuitsu collab character though? these niqqas got something dumb going on. we can just skip the collab and wait for more fun events. GH will learn their lesson, maybe even retroact and remove the awoken and just buff guard break to give a 3x boost when activated to patch up the mistake. If you already saw the news, they also really fibbed on the TPA buff and JP twitter and forums are NOT happy about this collab. JP twitter is sometimes able to get Yama the Ya-man to buff things that need it.

  9. Todo in his evo form has a pretty useful active skill. Now you can swap transform leads into 7×6 boards. Nautilus x Nautilus and Cobalt x Cobalt. Or Nadeko x Nautilus for me.

    1. My thought exactly except I was thinking we’d finally be able to play 7×6 Mikage/Mikage.

      1. that or we could use it to play Minaka on a 5×4 board in endless corridors. Imagine only needing 5 orbs to make a row.

  10. Ult Gojo’s active skill makes 12 fire, 12 water, 8 dark on a 6×5 board and he has only dark att and a VDP awakening. 🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
