GungHo Collab returns with… Belial!
Just in time for everyone to get… a Belial, thanks Jujutsu Kaisen collab. Only difference compared to the last run are buffs, and small change in REM lineup.
Also apologies for slow posts lately as I’m running around packing all my Tamadra plushies to relocate to another city again.

Buy Belial and get out of this trap.
They could have at least given Belial a Revo to change her main or sub att so she can contribute HP to more teams she subs on. Ill just buy the bundle until I have 5 for each att. If Plow had a revo for each att I would roll the eff out of sacred relics.
I know a bunch of people have already suggested having all of em available in the machine and all of em available to trade and trade for, but now I kinda agree with em. I have like 6 Knight Kisaragi and 4 Luluna (I dont remember her name right now, the cat one) and haven’t seen them pop up in a bit. I could use some of em to trade for something I could use more.
orb skins are always able to be used as trade fodder.
Gungho isnt gonna do that because they make more money by players having to roll instead of exchange. The limited trade fodder means you have to roll. Plus the exchange menu would be a mess with 29 7 stars and whatever GFEs. Unless everyone stops rolling and skips the collab, they will keep doing it this way.

Why’s everyone saying to get a Belial? I see she’s a low CD cleric, but is there anything else I’m missing? Maybe a synergy with a specific leader or something?
low cooldown full cleric. I’d have to doubly check, but I think Mysterious dimension had some kind of bind or unmatchable on floors close enough that Belial is the best full cleric to have for it. I am probably mixing that up with a new descend or challenge. The HP reduction isn’t so bad because of all the HOE awakenings. Those awakenings also give her a RCV boost on any team, so she can sub for any lead and contribute as a cleric and healer. short cooldown to inherit a skill haste or delay active for turn 1 transformations. full poison resist. 4 skill boosts is possible sans equip.
Shes like Plow used to be where shes so good shes worth putting on teams she doesn’t fit on.
Both forms are pretty good. Like the anon said, her base form has a lot of use. For me, I like her evo form best. 1 turn CD that makes dark orbs and debuffs move time that’s affected by the enemy. A few under 50% HP and either 3 SB or 10 combo awakening.
Ult form also has a lot of synergy as a sub for Kirei Koto. Doesn’t mess with the precious heal orbs and helps get the 6 negro orbs needed for the shield. I love leads like Kirei where you can activate the shield and multiplier seperatly.

I kinda wish Dark Loki would’ve been given a 10 combo super awakening. Would’ve made him a perfect sub for Belial. He’s ok with the 7 combo super awakening but we’re seeing enemies that need all your people to be able to hit double damage cap.
Its painfully obvious that this rerun is solely to allow people to get Belial. They even made it the odd 3 week collab to last the duration of JK collab so people who roll the suicide guy want Belial even more. Next run I hope we can see some real buffs for Aoi and Loki as well as the older gungho cards.
Belial is sooo good. I hope that people who can’t spare 20 bucks are able to free roll her because she really does fit on any team just because of how much she provides on her own.
the best buff that I think Dark Loki could get is a buff to the <50 awakening. Making it <80 would make Zaerog, DMeta, Loki, and Euchs all relevant again even for non low HP teams.
Unlike >80, 80 at the start of your turn than <50. Suicides have lower cooldown than immediate heals, and you can not be knocked out of range when hit. So it is infinitely easier to juggle HP thresholds. If they were to do it, they would also have to at least nerf it to be 1.5x to balance out the much larger active threshold. At that point you would end up severely nerfing cards across the board. Otherwise, you would have to make >50 at least 2x, if not 2.5x, because it has a smaller, harder to maintain threshold. Even if they handled it in the same way as rows, it is a much larger spike in damage, making it more difficult to gauge how problematic it would be. In both cases, more so for >50, you would also have to take into account the ability to assists the more potent awakenings on to anything. Ultimately, it is more trouble than it is worth.
Of course, even if they were to change the threshold while leaving the multiplier the same, HP conditional mechanics are always going to be worse than non-HP conditional mechanics. (This does not mean that you cannot create issues by buffing them though.) A good non-HP conditional mechanic is better universally, and in end-game content, than an equally good HP-conditional mechanic. The fact is that there is simply more support for less specialized mechanics, whether it is indirect or not. At the very most it would make <50 better, but very few cards would actually get used outside of teams with that as a focus.
At the end of the day, all any card would get is more wiggle room when not on dedicated teams, it does not make them suddenly more important to put on such teams. Improving the awakening does not improve their kit. They are still doing the same thing, just with the potential for more consistent damage output. While damage output is important, they will still fail to offer enough compared to what they already do. Euchs as a sub is finds problems with covering too little, while failing to offer something worth the investment (he only shines when he can be systemed.) DMeta is just a board with damage (a lack of utility, and such a long cooldown for just the board and unlock is not enough value). With Zaerog and Loki you either have:
A decent personal damage card, with a low cooldown, and a time buff from its base active.
A low cooldown card, with decent personal damage, (with even more against gods), and full blind res. With both of them you have little value outside of their low cooldown to make inheriting easier, although I would say that Zaerog offers more. Considering cards that have no place on teams other than to offer their skill set get subbed on, it is unlikely that cards that offer little more than being some more damage are going to suddenly get subbed on to teams that do not support their personal damage awakenings just because they are easier to do now. We end up with better cards, and improved niche scenarios with focused teams, but no real change for their universal use.
