So GungHo made a new commercial that many of us find… weird. Did you know there were a lot more PAD commercials in the past? Anime style, even?

Let’s take a look at the older PAD commercials!

Toragon (2019)

鼻からパズドラ (Hana kara Pazudora), or “PAD from the nose”. It’s quite bizarre as I’ve noted in the original news post…

Music-related (2017)

Now we got Toragon there, let’s start off with some of the best commercials! In 2017, PAD had some crazy music fever… featuring Pentatonix and Arashi!

Pentatonix

The 5-member American a cappella group, Pentatonix, was in a PAD commercial!  Many should know that Pentatonix also sang a really nice version of Departure, from PAD. That was part of the commercial!

Arashi – Parade

Super famous Japanese boy band, Arashi (嵐), participated in a series of PAD commercials as well!

First up, give me that top-hat Tamadra!!

The commercial was around when GungHo promoted PADW and Summer Gachadra!

They even did a PAD Dance. Put your hands up yeah yeah yeah~

Anime style (2016)

Here comes my favorite – the anime style commercial. It’s just amazingly cute!

Arashi was not the first to dance, this was actually the first. Pappara Pappapara~ Pazudora~ (パッパラパッパパラ パズドラ)

Finally, here comes the first PAD commercial!! Pazu, the Chaplain from the Puzzle House, meets Lady Dora from the Training RPG House.

“When they met, the game changed.” Indeed, it’s Pazudora (PAD)!

And then a high school student got his first smartphone and… love at first sight (hahaa)!

… I definitely think Toragon is the weirdest one of all still. I wish we have more of anime style though! Unfortunately many of the collab commercials have been removed from YouTube, so I cannot put them here. 🙁
