[Japan-Exclusive] World Hobby Fair With Real Life PAD Events, For Kids

There have been a bunch of real life events announced for PAD, but only limited to Japan. Some of the events are crazy, including free 100 Magic Stones for elementary school kids!

(I’m young at heart but I can’t look like a kid for this…)

World Hobby Fair Japan

Remember last year there was a free PAD/PADR monster,

Pirate Toragon for kids? That was Next generation World Hobby Fair 2018 Summer! This year, the annual event is held in Nagoya (Jan 19-20), Tokyo (Jan 26-27), and Osaka (Feb 17). Free admission.

The event is where lots of kids-oriented companies gather, including many we know:

  • Pokemon
  • Nintendo (Super Smash Bros. Special Brawl Tournament for kids!!)
  • Fornite
  • Doraemon
  • GungHo (PAD + Yo-kai Watch World)
  • Battle Cats (にゃんこ大戦争)
  • Corocoro comics

The annual event returns with more goodies this year! This time kids get… 100 Magic Stones.

Not even kidding. Free admission too.

They do have actual tournaments again, and the prizes will be a PAD Su-pen stylus for the winner, and all participants get 1 pack of Monster Memory Set #4 (aka the real life gacha for

Light Bastet).

(Darn, I wish I were a kid/have a kid!)

High school kids?

For high school students, there is also Agito-Dia as a challenging PAD Radar boss at the venue. That’s the enemy we’ve previously seen but heard nothing of. So I guess that answered some mystery…

Participants get the Pirate Toragon Monster Memory as prize, and those who clear gets a pack of Monster Memory Set #3 of

Fire Ragnarok Dragon.

Cancelled Gachadra challenge

They were going to have a Gachadra challenge at the venue, but cancelled (ouch). I don’t think kids would have time to do it anyways… Instead they are just going to raffle these prizes away at the stage.

Good strategy to attract audience I guess.

PAD Radar Treasure

次世代ワールドホビーフェア ’19 Winterの各会場にダンジョントレジャー出現!

Japan only, there will be a Latent Tamadra Rush available for free, for those at the venue. I guess for adults who play PAD, that’s a consolation prize.

Date
(8:30am-4:59pm JST)
Treasure location in Japan
1/19 (Sat), 1/20 (Sun) Nagoya Dome / ナゴヤドーム
1/26 (Sat), 1/27 (Sun) Makuhari Messe (Hall 9-11)
幕張メッセ国際展示場
展示ホール9・10・11ホール
2/17 (Sun) Kyoceradome Osaka / 京セラドーム大阪

Eventful.

They really packed a lot of events in one day, and this is just GungHo booth, with all the challenge cups and pro-gamer battles.

In fact if you were a kid, you can even challenge a pro-gamer. On stage. Pretty cool stuffs.

But that’s all about this. It’s a cool event, but it’s too bad it’s mostly kids only!
