Kamen Rider Collab 2nd Run, Featuring Second Orb Skin!

Kamen Rider (JP: 仮面ライダー) is an ongoing superhero series debuted in 1970, published as manga, television, and film! While every season has a different setting, the show is always comprised of a Hero who happens upon a powerful belt known as a “Driver” which allows him to become a Kamen Rider. In this form, he’s more powerful and usually uses that strength to save the world. Throughout each season, (especially in the newer seasons), he’ll gain new tools he can use to gain different powers.

With very few exceptions (from my basic understanding), each Kamen Rider series is a standalone season, but some older generation Riders may appear in newer Rider series, like in movies! The next movie starring Kamen Rider Zi-O and Kamen Rider Zero-One is coming soon on December 21st, 2019!

Takeshi Hongo is abducted by the evil Shocker organization and is turned into a cyborg to further their plans for world domination. However, he escapes before he is reprogrammed into one of their brainwashed minions. He then dedicates the rest of his life to fighting Shocker and stopping them from taking over the world. Later, he frees the photographer Hayato Ichimonji from Shocker’s brainwashing after he too is turned into a cyborg, and Ichimonji fights as the second Kamen Rider against Shocker’s cyborg mutants.

After Shiro Kazami is witness to a murder orchestrated by the evil organization Destron, and in revenge they kill his family, he seeks to stop them at all costs. Crossing paths with Kamen Riders #1 and #2, he begs for them to turn him into a cyborg as well to get stop Destron, only for the two to realize his pure intentions after he saves them from a later attack by Destron, revealed to be the remnants of their foes Shocker. As Kamen Rider V3, Shiro helps his fellow two Kamen Riders to stop Destron, later aided by Destron defector scientist Joji Yuki who transforms into the 4th Kamen Rider known as Riderman.

After Keisuke Jin and his roboticist father Keitaro are attacked by the evil organization GOD, Keitaro’s last acts before he dies is to bring his son back to life as a Kaizorg. To avenge his father’s death and save the world, Keisuke battles GOD’s monsters as the Kamen Rider X.

Daisuke Yamamoto is the only survivor of a plane crash into the Amazon rainforest, and is adopted by a relict Incan tribe. When his adoptive village is wiped out by the evil Ten-Faced Demon Gorgos, the village elder bestows upon Daisuke the GiGi Armlet to prevent it from falling into Gorgos’s hands. The GiGi Armlet allows Daisuke to transform into Kamen Rider Amazon, and he uses these powers to track Gorgos to Japan where he fights his minions Geddon, and later takes on the Garanda Empire who are the evil organization leading Gorgos and Geddon behind the scenes.

Shigero Jo tricks the evil organization Black Satan to transform him into one of their supersoldiers all to take revenge on them for killing his close friend and mentor. After undergoing the cyborg surgery, he escapes their clutches and uses the powers they gave him to fight them as Kamen Rider Stronger. He is later saves his friend Yuriko Misaki from being brainwashed by Black Satan after she too is made into one of their supersoldiers, and she fights along side him as the Electro-Wave Human Tackle.

Hang gliding enthusiast Hiroshi Tsukuba is kidnapped by the evil Neo-Shocker organization after he becomes witness to their kidnapping of the scientist Keitaro Shido. Shido convinces his captors to allow him to turn Hiroshi into one of their monstrous super soldiers, but he secretly turns him into the Skyrider, a flying cyborg like the Kamen Riders who uses his powers to save Shido and stop Neo-Shocker from taking over the world.

Kazuya Oki volunteers to undergo cyborg surgery to turn him into an astronaut who does not need a suit to travel to space. Upon completion of the procedure, the facility is attacked by the evil Dogma Kingdom, leaving him the only survivor. Kazuya decides to use his new powers to fight the Dogma Kingdom as Kamen Rider Super-1, armed with his Five Hand gloves that give him five different unique abilities.

Aircraft pilot Ryo Murasame is captured by the Badan Empire and is brainwashed and turned into a Combat Roid. However, an accident restores his memories and he escapes their clutches, waiting a year to strike against them using the powers they gave him as Kamen Rider ZX (pronounced Ze-Cross). During his fight, he crosses paths with the nine previous Kamen Riders, and all ten of them take on the Badan Empire together.

Stepbrothers Kohtaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki are both kidnapped by the Gorgom cult on their 19th birthday and are turned into cyborgs to be groomed into the cult’s next leader. Kohtaro manages to escape being brainwashed, and after learning from his foster father that his and Nobuhiko’s birth parents were killed by Gorgom, he decides to use the powers they gave him to fight them as Kamen Rider Black and save his stepbrother. However, his stepbrother has embraced Gorgom and fights against him as the evil Shadow Moon, all to decide who will be Gorgom’s next Creation King.

After defeating Gorgom, Kohtaro Minami tries to live his life in peace. However, the evil Crisis Empire kidnaps him to take him into their organization. When he refuses, they cast him into space and his cyborg body and magic King Stone are transformed by the sun’s radiation, now allowing him to transform into Kamen Rider Black RX. He uses his new powers to stop the Crisis Empire from taking over the world, later accessing forms that transform him into Robo Rider and Bio Rider.

Shin Kazamatsuri discovers that his father performed scientific experiments on him, fusing his DNA with that of a grasshopper and allowing him to transform into a hybrid human-grasshopper creature. After suffering from nightmares where he believes his grasshopper side has been murdering people in town, he finds that the actions are that of his father’s colleague Giichi Onizuka, who has also turned himself into a hybrid human-grasshopper creature. Shin uses the powers he has gained to stop Dr. Onizuka, unaware that both are being tracked by an evil syndicate who seeks to use their powers for their own gain.

Doctor Mochizuki experiments on his laboratory assistant Masaru Aso, giving him mysterious powers during his experimentation on the living fluid known as the Neo Organism. Masaru goes mad after he finds that he transforms into a grasshopper-like being Kamen Rider ZO, and falls into a coma. He awakens years later due to a psychic link with Dr. Mochizuki’s grandson Hiroshi to protect the boy from the Neo Organism, who seeks the professor to force him to evolve it into a new lifeform that will wipe out all of humanity.

The alien creature Fog Mother lands on Earth with her new brood of children to feed on the life on Earth, as they did 65 million years before to the dinosaurs. Their first target is a young girl named Kana Kimura, but her friend Koji Segawa does his best to protect her, only to be killed by one of the Fog Mother’s children. The Spirits of the Earth revive him, giving him the power to fight the children of the Fog Mother as Kamen Rider J, including the power to grow 40 meters tall.

Monsters called the Gurongi appear in modern day Tokyo and begin murdering people, as part of an event they seem to call “Gegeru”. Yusuke Godai, an archaeologist, uses the Arcle belt to transform into Kamen Rider Kuuga, as a member of a tribe of humans did thousands of years ago, to stop the Gurongi’s “Gegeru”, a vicious game to decide which of their kind will become their new leader.

Two years after the Gurongi attack, a man named Shoichi Tsugami has no memories of the rest of his life, but he mysteriously turns into the super-powered Kamen Rider Agito by means of the Aler Ring whenever he is around the monsters later called Lords who target specific humans who may one day overthrow them and their master.

Shinji Kido, an intern at a local newspaper, investigates the disappearances of people throughout the city and finds an Advent Card deck at an apartment where every reflective surface has been covered up. He then discovers the terrifying truth that people have been abducted into a Mirror World by monsters to be eaten. This also drags him into the Rider War, a fight between twelve other holders of Advent Decks to be granted a single wish once all of the other competitors have been killed. Shinji uses his deck to make a contract with the monster Dragreder, becoming Kamen Rider Ryuki to find a way to protect people from the Mirror World monsters, and to find a way to stop the Rider War from taking other lives.

The loner Takumi Inui saves Mari Sonoda from one of the Orphnoch, monsters born as a result of people mysteriously dying and resurrecting. She gives him the Faiz Gear given to her by her foster father which allows him to become Kamen Rider Faiz to fight the monsters. This drags him into a war over the fate of humanity spearheaded by the mega-national Smart Brain corporation who want the Faiz Gear back to help the Orphnoch supplant humanity as the dominant species on Earth.

Kazuma Kenzaki is hired by the Board of Archaeological Research Department (BOARD) to seal the Undead, 52 monsters each representing a species that ten thousand years ago fought to determine which would be the dominant species on Earth, with the one representing humans having been the winner. As Kamen Rider Blade, he and three other men fight the Undead to seal them to prevent the new Battle Royal from ending life as we know it.

Middle schooler Asumu Adachi becomes an apprentice of a man calling himself Hibiki, who can transform into an Oni by means of manipulating “pure sound” so he can protect the world from the vicious man-eating Makamou monsters.

Seven years ago, a meteorite struck Shibuya, and with it came insectoid aliens called Worms who have the ability to perfectly mimic any human by taking their form and memories. They blend into humannity, waiting for the day that they will take over and wipe out humans. Souji Tendou has apparently been training his entire life in order to fight the Worms, waiting for the appearance of the Kabuto Zecter to transform into Kamen Rider Kabuto, with the ZECT organization, whose own goals are to also stop the Worms, wondering how he ever got a piece of their technology in the first place.

Ryotaro Nogami, a young man who is seemingly the unluckiest man in the world, happens upon a strange train pass on the ground, and when he happens to enter a building at 11:11:11, he finds himself in a massive barren desert with a massive train as the only thing within. He then meets Hana, the Rider Pass’ original owner, who identifies him as a Singularity Point, a person immune to the effects of changes to the past. He has also unluckily become the host of Momotaros, a monster known as an Imagin who is one of several who have come back in time to this point in history to trick people into granting them their “wishes” so they may go further back in time to that person’s past to alter the future to ensure that the Imagin’s future is the one that will happen. Ryotaro’s unique status as a Singularity Point makes it so he is immune to Imagin powers, except they still possess him and act through his body, as without granting a wish they have no physical form. Together, Ryotaro and Momotaros (and later other Imagin) fight as Kamen Rider Den-O to help Ryotaro preserve the flow of time.

In 2008, the violin artisan Wataru Kurenai transforms into Kamen Rider Kiva with the help of his familiar Kivat-bat the 3rd to fight the Fangires, vampiric beings that can take a form resembling stained glass to suck the life out of humans. Twenty-two years earlier in 1986, his father Otoya, a master violinist, was dragged into the fight to protect humanity from the Fangires. In the present, Wataru hopes to find out why his father disappeared as a result of the Fangires, a race that he is also partly a member of. He is joined by residents of Castle Doran, a massive dragon castle holding three members of races previously wiped out by the Fangires who also have a past with his father.

Tsukasa Kadoya, a photographer who seems to be unable to take a perfect photo, finds himself and his friend Natsumi Hikari at the center of a convergence of multiple realities which threaten their very existence. Using a strange device Natsumi found, Tsukasa transforms into Kamen Rider Decade to save her. They take refuge in Hikari’s grandfather’s photography studio, which seemingly allows them to traverse multiple realities where Tsukasa finds himself as a key figure in each of their worlds, helping the local Kamen Rider save the world and then gaining their power as his own.

Futo, the Windy City, is threatened by monsters known as Dopants who are people who have gained a drug-like addiction to mysterious devices known as Gaia Memories. Private investigator Shotaro Hidari and his mysterious research companion Philip often find themselves investigating Dopant-related crimes and fuse together by means of the Double Driver and their own Gaia Memories to fight the monsters as Kamen Rider Double. Their investigation leads them to fight against the Sonozaki family who are the heads of the Gaia Memory drug smuggling ring, and themselves Dopants.

Traveling migrant worker Eiji Hino finds himself dragged into the war between the Greeed, monsters whose bodies are made by the coin-like Cell Medals, when Ankh, one of the Greeed who has lost most of his body to his rivals, gives him some of the Greeeds’ Core Medals, their very essence, and the OOO Driver to fight them as Kamen Rider OOO. In turn, the Greeed send out their monsters called Yummy which feed off of people’s desires to sustain their bodies so that they may one day complete themselves and take over the world. Eiji also finds himself allied to the mysterious Kougami Foundation who help arm him with their own Medal-based technology, which Ankh finds suspicious.

Gentaro Kisaragi transfers into Amanogawa High School, with his sights set on becoming everyone’s friend, starting by reuniting with his childhood friend Yuki Jojima but he meets resistance against the loner Kengo Utahoshi. His attempts to befriend him have all three of them dragged to a mysterious base on the Moon called the Rabbit Hatch where Kengo has been trying to use the technology to save his classmates from other students who come across mysterious Switch-like devices to transform into Zodiarts, constellation-themed monsters. Gentaro takes the device and uses it to become Kamen Rider Fourze, hoping that by saving his classmates he will also become their best friends.

Haruto Soma is one of a few survivors of a magic ritual that sought to use him to unleach monsters called Phantoms upon the world. These Phantoms now seek out Gates, humans who have the potential to also become Phantoms, by attacking them and causing them to fall to despair, allowing the Phantom access to that person’s Underworld, their internalized reality, where a Phantom may be born to take over. Haruto, as a surivor who has come to terms with his inner Phantom Drake, uses the Wizard Driver and Wizard Rings given to him by the mysterious White Wizard to become Kamen Rider Wizard to stop Phantoms from furthering their kind at the expense of humanity’s happiness.

Kouta Sakuraba is one of the many young residents of the city of Zawame who have become dejected due to the imposing influence of the Yggdrasill Corporation whose tower dominates the city. To escape this feeling of being peasants in a castle city, Kouta and his friends form break dancing crews to add some fun to their lives. Simultaneously, a popular game has formed surrounding weird plant-like devices known as Lockseeds which apparently hold Inves, creatures said to be from another dimension, which the dance crews fight against each other as part of the game. Kouta finds he must quit the dance crew to help his sister out at home, until he happens upon a mysterious Sengoku Driver belt and a unique Orange Lockseed. When he is attacked by a real Inves, Kouta uses the belt and Lockseed to transform into Kamen Rider Gaim to save himself, and finds out he can use this form to dominate the Lockseed game, as he can directly fight the virtually summoned Inves. This discovery leads to rival teams finding their own Sengoku Drivers and special Lockseeds to fight him, starting a “war” between dance crews, only further exacerbated by the Yggdrasill Corporation’s mysterious involvement in the development of both, and the continued emergence of real Inves as a result of the incursion of an alien world known as Helheim Forest upon Zawame and perhaps all of reality.

Elite police officer Shinnosuke Tomari finds himself demoted to be the lead detective on the department’s Special Investigations Division after his partner is injured during the Global Freeze, an event that apparently caused all time to stop for a quarter of the world as a result of the Roidmudes, robotic creatures who wish to supplant humanity as the Earth’s dominant creatures. His job is now to help the Special Division study crimes involving Roidmudes who cause “Heavy Acceleration” events that locally freeze time. He soon finds himself chosen by the sentient Drive Driver to use himself and the Tridoron car to become immune to Heavy Acceleration and fight the Roidmudes as Kamen Rider Drive. Together, and with the Special Division’s help, they work to stop the Roidmudes’ plans on world domination, and find out how and why the Global Freeze happened previously.

On his 18th birthday, would-be ghost hunter and Buddhist temple caretaker Takeru Tenkuji is murdered by two ghostly monsters called Gammas. He is miraculously revived by a mysterious monolith under his family’s temple, but he must collect the fifteen Ghost Eyecons which hold the spirits of fifteen historical figures within 99 days or else he will cease to exist. Along the way, he fights other Gammas who also seek out the Eyecons for their own purposes, initially led by Chikara Saionji who seeks out the Eyecons to grant his own wish, but later led by Alain, a member of the Gamma royal family who are planning on invading the human world.

Emu Hojo is a doctor doing his residency in a hospital specializing in treating victims of the Bugster virus, a computer virus that managed to jump to humans during the Y2K threat that turns its victims into monstrous Bugsters whose essences are held in video game cartridges known as Gashats. In order to stop a Bugster, doctors undergo a surgery to gain antibodies against their infection and use a device known as a Gamer Driver to use Gashats to transform into Kamen Riders. Emu, who in his teenage years was the professional gamer “M”, obtains a Gamer Driver, and despite never having undergone the surgery to use it, transforms into Kamen Rider Ex-Aid to end the Bugster Virus menace as part of his desire to become a “Super Doctor” who will save the world, using his knowledge of video games to best the Bugsters.

Ten years ago on an expedition to Mars, an artifact known as Pandora Box was discovered. Upon its return to Earth in Japan, it was activated by someone there and caused the country to split up into three rival nations and also caused the emergence of monsters known as Smash, created from humans affected by the Nebula Gas created by the walls. The physicist Sento Kiryu is contracted by the government of Touto, the eastern region of Japan, to decipher the mystery behind Pandora Box and the Smash, which he does by transforming into Kamen Rider Build through the use of the Build Driver and Fullbottles, which contain a purified Nebula Gas created from defeated Smashes.

Sougo Tokiwa, a high school senior who wants to one day be a “king”, happens upon a mysterious clock-like Ridewatch on his bike one day. Soon after, he is approached by a woman named Tsukyomi who says that she has come from the future year 2068 where Sougo has apparently become the tyrannical ruler known as Oma Zi-O who uses the powers of all Kamen Riders to oppress humanity. She has come back in time to see if Sougo is actually the man she thinks he is, but his selflessness convinces her otherwise, despite her fellow Resistance fighter Geiz’s doubts that Sougo is indeed their future enemy. In an incident that leaves Sougo trapped in the year 2017 where he meets Sento Kiryu, he comes across the Time Jackers, members of another resistance cell in 2068 who have come back in time to kill Sento so their own chosen leader will become a tyrant, and Woz, one of Oma Zi-O’s closest supporters who gives Sougo the Ziku-Driver belt which he uses to transform into Kamen Rider Zi-O in order to fight the Another Riders created by the Time Jackers to kill him and change the past by eliminating the powers of the current Kamen Rider whose powers they copy. Sougo, Tsukuyomi, and Geiz who also can become a Kamen Rider work together travelling through time to prevent the Time Jackers from installing their own tyrannical king while keeping an eye on Sougo, whose ability to obtain other Kamen Riders’ powers through other Ridewatches is eerily similar to the evil Oma Zi-O they fear he may become.

Would-be comedian Aruto Hiden’s life is turned upside down when he inherits his grandfather’s artificial intelligence company Hiden Intelligence, a company that has developed a series of AI androids called HumaGears that has vastly improved life in Japan. However, a terrorist organization called MetsubouJinrai.net has begun hacking the HumaGears, transforming them into monsters called Magias to attack humanity. Aruto uses his company’s Progrise technology to transform himself into Kamen Rider Zero-One to stop the rampaging Magias, while coming into conflict with both the government’s HumaGear-related crime unit AIMS and their Kamen Riders, as well as MetsubouJinrai.net’s own Kamen Riders.

SMAP’s Goro Inagaki celebrates the 50th year of TV Asahi broadcasting by becoming a Kamen Rider who transforms using wine.

Amazon Prime reimagines 1974’s Kamen Rider Amazon. The meek Haruka Mizusawa discovers that he has become infected by Amazon Cells, a creation of the Nozama Pharmaceutical Company, which makes him transform into Kamen Rider Amazon Omega, awakening in him a cannibalistic hunger and the urge to kill others who have also been infected by Amazon Cells to transform them into creatures called Amazonz. He finds himself pitted against Nozama Pharmacy’s Nozama Peston Service, a cell of paramilitary fighters hired by Nozama to hunt down rogue Amazonz, and Jin Takayama, a former researcher at Nozama who infected himself with Amazon Cells to turn himself into Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha. Five years later, a boy named Chihiro, who has been raised from birth by Amazonz, must suppress his urges to kill those around him as Kamen Rider Amazon Neo, until he meets an Amazonz who he does not want to kill.

[Misc.] Kamen Rider on HK/TW server

Update on 12/26: North America server is getting Kamen Rider as we anticipated here!!

PAD Hong Kong/Taiwan (HK/TW) server also received Kamen Rider collab! Japan has this as second run, but HK/TW has it as first run. Why this is important is because with few exceptions, HK/TW is usually a good indication of whether a collab makes it to outside of Japan.

Our in-house encyclopedia Upc says:

HK/TW server never got Shinkalion and Champion (and KR/NA didn’t too)
(As far as we remember) The only collabs that was in HK/TW but not in KR/NA are Final Fantasy Crystal Defenders (FFCD) and Duel Masters.
And yes HK/TW did get Fujimi Fantasia, and that’s what NA has next week.

Would this mean Kamen Rider have a chance for a first run too, in KR (and NA by extension)? No one knows, but at least the probability is higher than many others.

I’m just putting this out there as many know that KR is good preview of NA news, but not many know about how HK/TW server relates. (Some people don’t even know the server exists!)
