[Misc.] North America server exclusive feature: Expand box space by watching a video

NA exclusive of the year!?

As part of Version 18.5 update on North America server today, there was a mysterious line in the patch notes:

Players can now watch video in-app to increase the size of their Monster Box.

This seems to be on Android and iOS, but not on Kindle.

How it works

You can find that in Shop -> Increase Capacity. 1 video adds exactly 1 slot to your box.

After watching an ad, there’s the box increase!

A timer is shown after watching and closing the ad. You can get 2 box spaces a day this way, pretty awesome.

Bizarre, although it seems to be pretty common in other North American games, but usually not in the Japanese versions of the same game. Perhaps we will not see this on other servers except North America?

  2. i hope they don’t hate on us so hard for having this, that they just shut us down or give us other negative things to spite 😀

    1. Unlike NA, Japan doesn’t hate on other servers for having new things… especially since JP does get more stones anyways from surveys and compensations.

      Not to mention that adding 1 box space breaks symmetry of the row for a bit, and Japanese love symmetry lol.

      P.S: NA server isn’t actually global, lol.
