PAD Academy 2023 Rerun Teasers (Day 2 Teasers Added)

It’s going to be a new semester in JP, and ofc PAD Academy is making a rerun in PAD! Earlier PV from official youtube channel announced 5 new cards of a new band that will appear in PAD Academy!

  2. Seems like similar to how RAS was all Dragon type characters, Gear Step is aiming for an all Machine type character band with some interesting creative liberties taken to boot. From the PV video posted, looks like Seawolf and Daytona also round out the members of Gear Step and became young men!

    A bit sad Royal Oak and Blackbird didn’t seem to get human versions for this specific seasonal event yet, but on the bright side, my off-hand joke about Blackbird in a wedding dress from before now seems like it might actually not outside of the realm of possibility. 😀

    1. The shadow outline for Naut could be either Oak or Naut. According to DayWolf artwork it seems we already know which one is the top.
      This event makes me uncomfortable.

  3. It would be nice if instead of programming weird roulettes they figured out a way to convert bad egg awakenings into team hp or something when entering a dungeon.
    For reference a bad egg is a pokemon game data error and I’m talking about converting things like TE into team hp if you have a lead that has fixed time in the leaderskill. UB+ likewise could be converted when theres a UB leaderskill and the same again in the case where a dragon type equip is given to a deagon type or for damage cap to increase for super types and for killers to multiplicatively stack damage cap increases like they do for damage. GungHo hardly ever prioritizes features that improve QoL for players.

  4. I like that gaywolf actually has a red leaderskill unlike the original sealab which was actually a bicolor robot unlike all the others. Time to bring out the old Shirou team to take advantage of that light subatt.

    1. GS Planar has the advantage as a Leader of having a higher ATK multiplier and bonus combo, along with a faster full board rainbow changer AS. She however does not have a bonus ATK built into her LS nor an increase in damage cap or Void Damage bypass in her AS. In addition, her 4x RCV bonus is limited to Machine type. Relying on LS shields instead of on raw HP makes this less of problem point, but not one that can be completely overlooked. These factors unfortunately make her a bit less versatile and harder to build a team under compared to Aljae Kitty who works with just about anything and has a powerful enough auto-heal that you can often ignore having to heal manually altogether.

      Players might get some mileage pairing GS Planar with Dance Club, Gear Step to address the anti-resolve issue, but as that really only works with an all Machine team, it requires a lot more specific subs to get up and running. Aljae Kitty herself might work well with GS Planar in a pinch for anti-resolve with her auto-heal offsetting the problem of herself not being Machine for the 4x RCV bonus. That being said, GS Planar herself has pretty low RCV and Machine type cards in general tends to be lacking in the stat, so it may be best not to overestimate her team’s effective RCV.
