    1. Probably not. It is not like they are not getting this, and this is by no means the first time a non-ten stone REM has had high offensive potential cards. The whole unrest with the Monster Hunter buffs is that they were underwhelming given Monster Hunter’s previous value and cost. Sure there are comparisons that can be made to other available cards, to justify why they should be buffed, but it does not mean there is a reason to see other cards get good buffs.

      TL:DR, a good buff will generally outweigh dissent towards the idea of “uneven” buffing.

    2. I mean he was like the first 4/400/4 lead to start that pattern. So with how much that style has progressed, it makes sense his buff would be a bit stronger and he’d have awakenings to back it now too.

  1. Shirou Emiya looks really good even if not as a leader its active skill seems like one that will be used overtime

    1. Shirou once again gets hit with the “heavily restricted sub pool” issue – except it’s worse now since he’s expected to be paired with the new loli GFE, Yurisha, and there’s almost no good subs that are both on color and on type for Shirou x Yurisha.

      Discord server favors the Rider evo the most so far.

      1. He pairs rlly well with raoh too! Good sub pool too! Could use polowne, akantor, lina = inverse, marik, sagara, lord zedd, ranger slayer evo, ren, lucia, cardinal and Hanzo (shamsho version) as subs. Can use domega, rehven, and ranger slayer (only if u going for low hp playstyle). So a good team imo would be polowne/lucia/ranger slayer evo/marik (15sb with dual shirou so u will have to wait or stall out the 3 other turns. Raoh pairing means 14s, so gotta wait 4 turns). Alternative could be polowne/ranger slayer evo/marik/cardinal. Another good pairing is marik as well, ensures u reach combo count. Team could be polowne/ranger slayer evo/cardinal/lina, sagara, or akantor.

You actually cannot pair him with Marik, at least not without giving up either a card dealing damage or a card contributing to survivability (remember Marik requires you to have all attributes on the team for his plus combo, and Shirou requires you to have fire card for the damage and dark cards for survivability). To say that Marik “ensures you reach combo count” would also be a mistake. Marik’s no skyfall clause makes things more difficult, but then you also have to all attributes and heals on the board (let alone the team) to even get the plus combo. Pairing him with Marik just makes things more difficult, and drops the quality of the team due to how it interferes with building a good team for either lead.

      2. Why exactly are you pairing him with Yurisha? Sure the 7×6 is nice, but I do not think it is all that necessary. His sub pool, not restricting it to one typing as well, is actually already quite large, with a good variety of desirable options. Sure, he may not be as friendly with everyone’s box as he is for some, but he honestly is not bad to the point of being unusable due to lack of options. (YugixNere has a smaller sub pool, and even less cards that are relevant for the team. About the only saving grace is that Winged Dragon Guardian of the Fortress #1 is a five star.) Worst case scenario you could always use a card or two that just has fire. You do lose out on survivability, which is potentially lethal, but it is always an option. In all honesty, he has a drastically larger sub pool compared to when his ult came out (his ult actually has a more manageable sub pool now as well do to all the new additions). His issue with providing nothing other than a leader skill, as well as a decently useful active, is also fixed now. He should be fine, and at worst, he can make a strong sub (whether it be on himself or elsewhere).
