23 Replies to “[Teaser, Day 2 Added] Yo-Kai Watch World Collab – 2nd Run: Coming Soon!”

  1. Welp I looked up Yo Kai Watch World and it was cancelled outside of JP. Guess we’re never getting it. I wish though. equips are super good too. TwT

    1. Power Rangers was essentially Yokai Watch, some changes were made here and there, but it is pretty much the same.

    1. GungHo considered last one as revival and not a rerun, so they called this the 2nd run in the official tweet. I’m going with their numbering to be consistent…

  2. nothing crazy here. I’ll keep my power ranger cards definitely. And that’s not even my attempt to make myself feel better in comparison to JP in general, but I really think that PR blows the pants off anything listed on this page

    1. Power Rangers definitely had plenty of good cards, and some of the changes they made did offer quite a different card considering how small they were. Power Rangers did lose all of the good farmables from Yokai Watch, cost twice as much, and some of the cards did not receive any buffs to compensate, hopefully that will be rectified in a future run. The only major changes, in my opinion, between Power Rangers and Yokai Watch, were Ranger Slayer in the REM instead of the farmable dungeon boss in Yokai Watch, and Yellow Ranger being an all around better Tattletell. Black Ranger Assist is also a bit of a notch up from Whisper’s assist, having one more dark orb enhance, so you could argue that was good. (Even though Whisper’s assist was farmable, and had a 35% shield instead of a 30% shield while everything else about the active was the same, yes even the cooldown.) Do not get me wrong, the Power Rangers cards were good, just not generally worth ten stones when you consider how little most of them were changed from the five stone REM versions, and how all of the good farmables that Yokai Watch had were placed into the REM.

      1. And Green Ranger was essentially four cards in one, since everything only had one skill level. That was pretty good, although ult Green Ranger was an arguably worse ult Koma-san with slightly better stats.

    2. Let’s wait to see the rest of what is happening, such as any buffs, new ults, other ults for these cards, and other cards, before we start saying anything like that. Similarly, we have to wait to see what is done to Power Rangers in return, if it comes back around. Yokai Watch and Power Rangers basically are the same, but Yokai Watch generally is better overall, while Power Rangers is better in a few cards.

  3. I know in NA, PR basically was in place of this. That being said though The Last Nyanmurai’s Yokai Medal would be great to throw on my Dark Omega. Right now I have the Kaede Another equip on him as I hadn’t obtained any other under 50% awakening equip of the fire attribute yet.

    1. Honestly I’m kinda sad that we aren’t getting more farmable skill boost equips. I know there’s one for VDay but I’d rather have this one because it may have some use while VDay is just an assist. Didn’t expect for it to blow up like this 0_0”

  4. I honestly see like one or two assist I like but definitly don’t absolutely need, especially with the advent of full defense awakenings. I feel like this collab is going back in the meta a little bit. I don’t think any of the actual cards shown so far would make any of my teams. Yikes I see a green auto FUA but he literally halves ur rcv :(. O I see what you mean about the under 50% fire OE assist. Def would be useful for like RD OMEGA and others. The unable to reduce orbs equip that comes with the skill boost is useful right now. And Toadal Dude’s Yokai Medal I would say was super useful a month or two ago. It comes with a nice mix of water OE 2 poisen resistance and a tape! That’s alot of stuff, only now between Kieba and Chirodri and probably other cards, poisen shouldn’t really be an issue anymore. Not to mention leads that negate poisen, like yugi or one of the cards in this collab.

    1. There are better wood built in follow-up attack leads, but the niche for this one is being open to all attributes. The half recovery part is a demerit for this. The wood row/VDP pretty much focuses it on wood, but he is not limited to wood. There are not too many cards out there with full resists yet, at least not enough to fit onto every team. That combined with some of them even requiring super awakenings, meaning there are even less for multiplayer. Not to mention that on top of that, sometimes there are better subs, or ones you just want to run, that do not have them. As powerful as the full resists are, they do not discount assists that pack a ton of resists into one single assist. Besides, not everyon is going to have access to cards that can do such things, so if they get something like this, they have options. Not everyone is going to be running what is considered top tier teams either. The assist is still good, even if we have options that can make it unnecessary. It is because those are simply other options. It might not be something worth chasing, or maybe for some people it is. Regardless, as much as a meta defines what is the best of that which is available, with some variation due to it still being an opinion, you have to remember that it does not say what is bad. Metas generally organize what is most worth going for, and ,depending on the game, can fail to see something that is potentially good. Because metas tend to focus on the top 1%, the optimal, they tend to lose the other 99%, regardless of capability.

  5. OK I can see the arachnus guy being really broken with a kuroyuri loop. If I am reading it correctly, it seems to boost stats for all attributes. I don’t expect it to be as good as yugi, but I think it has a lot of potential. We’ll have to see what it can pair with for a 7×6. I am thinking kuriboh might work

    1. Since Arachnus is attacker typing and has no color restriction in his LS, I see Faska as the go to meta pair right now for almost everything that is attacker.

But in general, anything announced so far isn‘t a punch (unlike Koma-san was back then, GH hasn‘t announced buffs for older evos, so there‘s hoping for Komasan still.

      1. I was going to say arachnus 2x hp is great, the 400x attack multiplier is great, but the 50% green rcv is just too detrimental, and IMO uncalled for conisdering green isen’t as meta as it was. However upon looking at faska, I see she packs a whopping 4x rcv. So still 2x rcv, which isen’t bad at all i guess

        1. All of the multipliers on him are unrestricted by type or attribute. (He does not give 2x HP, 5x attack, and halves recovery for wood, he does it for all attributes.) Even though a wood row gears him towards wood, he is still technically an unrestricted lead. Unrestricted leads, that are not Rainbow leads, tend to have a demerit to counterbalance their openness. For some, it may not be too big of a deal. For others, it may not matter because other parts of their leader skills focus in more on one place. It could also just be there so he is not too good of a card for a five stone collab, since without it he would have been better than the other two wood built in follow-up attacks.
