[Updated: New Floor/Rank 50!] 8-Player Multiplayer Mode returns after maintenance, for Rank 50+!
Yep it’s back, with lowered rank requirements!

Rank limit changed: From 900, to 500, THEN to 50!
When maintenance completed, there were still connection issues and needed Rank 900 to play still. Hours later, the rank limit was lowered to Rank 500 on May 6, then now it’s dropped to Rank 50+.
Remember that the new mode is still in beta. For more details on 8-player mode, see here!
(I guess we had a… rank limit breakthrough lol)
Updated May 7: More updates/information
1) The beta test will last for a week.
Note that your points will be wiped after the beta test.
2) More floors will be added for testing today.
Along with Rank 50 requirement change! Beta Cup 2 is out already!

3) Boards
YamaP confirmed that the board and pre-generated skyfall are identical to all players in the same room, except for board active and jammer spawns. This is done to maintain the competitiveness by removing some of the RNG. YamaP said they are looking for E-Sport opportunities for this mode too.
8人対戦モードで降ってくるドロップは、実は8人全員共通になってます。

When it comes to the whole PvP dealio, are people automatically matched against people with ranks close to that of their own? Or is it whomever is looking for PvP partners at the same time?
It’s whomever is looking for PVP at that time I think! Im around rank 1k and got paired with a rank 1.3k player! Still got 1st btw. Feels good.
Awesome, I just transferred my game to a tablet as opposed to my old phone so I can play that mode when it comes to NA region. I’m rank 1k or so as well and was curious how matchmaking worked. I never even thought about it when it came to 3p since the majority of the time I happen to unintentionally pair with people already on my friends list.
