  1. I’m very confused by the JP teams. Could someone kind take a moment to explain how the JP teams work? I don’t understand how they can run things like a majic Lin to turn the board exclusively dark/light when rainbow match for bonus 1200 requires all five colors, or how they deal enough damage on end floor when rikuu leader skill requires 4+ colors, in teams with few or no machine killers and no active devoted to damage boost multiplier.

I’ve been having trouble searching for a clear vid, because all the search terms for the tournament name are so generic, “rainbow” “tournament” “special” etc that specific matches don’t come up.

    1. Nevermind, I found some clear vids. It IS just pray for multiple color match skyfalls at the end with multiple ability invokes. (Rolls eyes). Okay. Ludicrous nonsense, but ok.

      1. Yeah, quite a few rankings have become like this. Even before 15-15 boards, fixed skyfall actives became a focus for quite a few rankings. By limiting the skyfall to four types, the chance that you get combos increases afterall. You also get the added bonus of having an increased chance for the attributes that your board changers do not provide, if you have the right active. Combine that with guaranteed ten combo boards to get the maximum amount of combos before skyfall, and it drastically increases the resulting score and consistency.

It is essentially the new core ranking requirements. The previous ones were 7×6 and bicolors or killers and heal actives with as few animations as possible. Now it is fixed distribution bicolors, fixed skyfall actives, and killers.
