About Divine Gate

Divine Gate started in September 2013 (5 years old!) as Divine Gate, which transitioned to Divine Gate Zero and literally went to zero from that point on.

The game had like every anime collab you wish PAD had, let me list a few:

  • Re:Zero
  • Angel Beats!
  • K-On!
  • Nisekoi
  • Seven Deadly Sins
  • Fate/stay night
  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica
  • Fairy Tail
  • Hatsune Miku
  • Attack on Titans
  • Fullmetal Alchemist

Many people I know tried Divine Gate, loved the art but hated the game play. I wish I liked the game more as well, since it literally is an anime central at one point!

But yeah… It’s really unfortunate, but at least some of the pretty arts from Divine Gate (

Yukari!) will continue to be with us on PAD.

Game service for Divine Gate will wind down officially ends on December 11, 2018. Official site and all support will be gone on March 13, 2019.

P.S: It’s also strangely ironic that 2 GungHo games died as GungHo Collab Part 1 and 2 reach PAD NA server…. First the soccer game, now Divine Gate….

  1. i don’t know how to react about this news. i just come back to play this game and surprised they change it to divine gate zero that literally become suckkkk
    about this game, i really loving it! i enjoying for the gameplay so much <3

    1. Yeah… I heard about the gameplay as well but I never played it. It’s quite unfortunate that a game with such nice artwork ends! 🙁

  2. My sister and I play Divine Gate since we download it about four years ago and loved it to pieces. But the moment we tried Zero, we kind of dislike it and gave up.
    My sister loves Canaan the most and got giddy when she got Alphonse in the FMA collab in her first pull, and I felt the same when I got Shizuo in Durarara at my final pull on the last days of one of its collab.

    1. I have never played any of Divine Gate myself, but I definitely hear a ton of dislike about Zero! I wish GungHo bring original DG back instead too. I’m glad you find similar enjoyment with PAD though! 🙂

      Darn I’m still missing Alphonse myself! Let your sister know that I’m jealous!!
