シンカリオンコラボ決定!

New Collab Artwork – Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Collab!

Shinkalion, which are transformable Shinkansen (Japan’s bullet train) time!! Popular kids anime series in Japan, with new movie coming late December!!

We literally have a collab train!

Artwork

Just a bit of fun background info here, for those who aren’t familiar with Japan trains and all. Feel free to skip ahead.

The trains: The second part of the names are the Shinkalion, which are based off real Shinkansen trains (bullet train). Each one covers different routes to different regions of Japan, and has a characteristic color and design.

Fun useless fact: The main character’s bullet train (Hayabusa) travels as a joint unit with another train, Super Komachi. The two trains are actually connected, then splits half way in the journey to head to different destinations (Starts at Tokyo, then split for Hokkaido and Akita). You can say that in real life it sorta “transforms”, but honestly I doubt we’d see transformation in PAD. You can find YouTube videos of how the trains split up!

The Assist Evo.: They are simply a card – These are Shinca, which are basically cards used by the main characters to activate the robots. In real life, these are the IC cards (rechargeable tap cards containing electronic money) widely used across Japan, and designs are region-specific. Those who have been to Japan should recognize some designs!

Miku Hatsune & H5 Hayabusa

Important note: This Miku has a different last name in Kanji than the Miku Hatsune we all know (but pronounced the same way), but she is based off the original one, and only 11 years old (real Miku is 16).

She was a collab character between Miku Hatsune (where the snow version basically represents Hokkaido) and this series, Shinkalion. Hence she is the pilot of Hayabusa, which runs between Tokyo and Hokkaido.

  1. Actually you can find some of it as “sort of” Transformers action figure on Amazon, I have some in my own basket 😋

        1. I want her in NA too but the chance is… to be honest, low. Q_Q I’m rolling for Miku too though!!
