In the coming update next month, the Skill Voice awoken skill will also increase the card’s base stats by 10% (doesn’t include plusses).

[Misc.] YamaP apologizes for bugs

Recently there’s been a loooot of bugs in PAD… Like way too many in a short time.

Just this morning there was a short period that there was no 8x bonuses for Descended Rush (co-op), with no compensation issued for it. YamaP apologized for the errors, especially since this happened on a 4-day long weekend in Japan.

  1. I get why collabs with popular IP’s have a voice awakening, but why do cards like Cotton and Ryune have one?

    1. Because it is cute. Jokes aside, short story GungHo playing catch up to attract new player.

      Long story based from my observation, PAD was released around 2012 in Japan then few months later in NA. I’m playing since version 1.00 but take a break 2-3 years because another matter. First version of PAD is really bare bone compared to version 18+ nowadays. With device limitation (it think it was iPhone 3GS) and probably development budget, they aiming player age 10+. You can clearly see it in design of early monster available at normal dungeon up to Zeus Starlight Sanctuary. See that knight, slime, dragon. Everything to attract 10+ years old. You could check again design of first form Minerva, Hades, Neptune, Ceres, Venus, Tsukuyomi, Susanoo, Kagutsuchi, Orochi and Amaterasu. Early batch of REM God. Everyone first form is fugly by today standard.

      Few years later GungHo probably realized 10+ years old don’t have a lot of money to purchase IAP. You probably know Granblue Fantasy. It released 2014. Their first year artwork not superb either but clearly they aiming for waifu collector. This gacha game also got gameplay animation (albeit simple) and voice acting. Another reason why some monster in PAD now animated and have voice awakening.

      Not only that, GungHo must compete with FGO, Azur Lane and many other gacha game that utilizing character animation and voice because developed in later years. Now do you want to ask why they add story dungeon but now stuck after just Odin and Sonia?

  2. I don’t mind voices since I tend to play the game on silent anyways. On occasion though I’ll play for the music in Persona collab, DMC collab, and Giles Legato dungeon. When this comes to the NA region I wish they would replace the English voices with the JP ones. Lajoa straight up sounds like Al Gore if Al Gore were to say “Darkness Swallows all” smh

  3. I dunno, I still feel like it’s eating up a slot that could’ve been a real awakening. With only 9 slots, every slot is important.
