Tokyo Olympic 2020 Memorial Campaign!

To celebrate Tokyo Olympics, players will receive magic stones based on the total number of medals the Japanese Olympic teams get!

(Official mobile game, really? Wow.)

Comments are now closed off. Please keep discussions on the site civil (take the flame elsewhere).

Let’s watch the hard work of all athletes in the Olympics instead.

The campaign

Depending on how many medals Japan gets, we get Magic Stone in game!

Duration: 7/23 (Fri) 12pm ~ 8/8 (Sun) 11:59pm JST

  • Each Gold Medal = Magic Stone x 3
  • Each Silver Medal = Magic Stone x 2
  • Each Bronze Medal = Magic Stone x 1

How many Magic Stones now?

You can see the Olympic medal counts here, at the official site for the Olympics.

As of 7/23 ~ 7/26, we will receive 31 Magic Stones for the 8 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze Olympic medals awarded! The Stones will be distributed on 7/28 (Wed). ◕‿◕

Misc. things

I’m sure you all heard about the video game music played during player entry, or anime songs played at the matches, but… why is there a random Tamadra sound in the middle of a match?

  1. Let’s go Japan. As much as I’m in the states, I hate the woke nonsense going on over here so I gotta root for the other countries this year.

          1. sorry to say this, but japan has its fair share of “woke nonsense” as well. so sorry that your fragile sense of superiority in the world is being torn down

            1. Calling POC that word is extremely racist, please find another word. “Black people” or “people of color” are both wonderful choices.

  2. It would be funny if NA got this event 2 months from now.

Is this a summer or winter olympics? If, and big if, NA gets this and they meter our reward with NA medals then we need michael phelps swimming to get us stones.
    1 gold medal = 1/3 godfest roll

    1. HK, JP, KR, and NA all have their own pad servers and are doing well in the Olympics. it would be fun if every server got rewarded for their respective servers performance.

    1. Did they increase the amount of points needed or did I just never notice how high they were?

      1. They actually decreased it from 1880 to 1850 for 85 magic stones, per their announcement earlier today

        1. That’s not too bad then I suppose. I’m waiting for them to have another 4x point event, I’ll stock up on more stones then. I check their NA Twitter page every now but probably missed it. Don’t have any social media accounts so I tend to miss a lot lol. But hey, by the time we get a new meta killing collab I’ll have plenty of points saved up.

          1. Hello no social media twin,

I don’t know what the next broken collab will be, but it will be something tanky. Nautilus is so far ahead of the rest of the meta. The 5000 HP diff between him and Oak ends up translating to 160k eHP from just the leads (10k x 16). Beach is also coming and with past patterns we can assume Beach Gronia is gonna give a broken equip that ables Nautilus to transform easier due to hastes and makes a board that enables a green and blue VDP. The TPA buff is evidence that we’ve peaked with damage output and higher numbers on multipliers don’t mean anything now. Its all about being tanky and removing debuffs as they happen.

            1. I’ve still yet to roll Nautilus. Hopefully he’s eventually added to the memorial egg machine to raise my chances.
I have two Beach Gronia just sitting around so a nice equip would be cool.

              1. We get those sweet resets tonight or tomorrow depending on your time zone. I think she’s available in the rank 1k machine, or I might have been mistaken. I usually used Blades or Shizumaru as my water lead. Then Elsha as a sub for the haste when she transforms, the move time with the active and the poison block latent. Also Deena because she buffs ATK and RCV every turn and creates orbs then locks.

  3. In 2016, Japan won 41 medals (12 gold, 8 s, 21 b). That would have translated into 73 stones. Go Japan!!

  4. Makes me sad that we have to see blatant racism on a post on a blog about a Japanese video game :/. This should be a platform that anyone can use without seeing harmful/ hurtful content.

  5. Please keep this civil and be excellent to each other, or I will close off comments. Let’s cheer for more Magic Stones.

  6. I really don’t like stepping in, but let’s not bring politics and negativity to the site. Thanks.
