  1. Those Valks are so hard to roll for unless you’ve been playing forever and had kept one. I lucked out and got the dark one from a REM recently, looking forward to seeing her assist.

    1. Yeah, I have friends who don’t have all the Valks, even after playing so long! I’m glad GungHo didn’t forget them though, OG waifu! 😀

  2. I wish they would push rows again! 🙁 I know they’ve given us a really good lead recently, but it seems like 2 steps forwards and 1 step back.

    1. Row leads are still relevant, and have been dominant at various points over the past year and a half. I do not see how they have been taking one step back, unless you mean that they make relevant non-row leads.

  3. I would have greatly preferred that they dropped the TPA’s to make room for the 7c and and HOE. Losing the rows and fire resist are both big L’s for the colored Valks. The Valk’s are heal sticks now and they messed up by putting 2 (3) 7c on such low damage cards. Its a huge waste. I wish GB was removed to make room for the Skill Boost since I can just get GB with an equip now on a different card than my heal stick. GH needs to figure out how to let players have some form of customization with awakenings in PaD like we do in PaD battle. Its exciting to see the Valks get buffs (I would much rather see them get an actual Revo with animated artwork like colored Ciels), these are more like sideways moves because they are HOE sticks combined with single card damage instead of HOE sticks with rows that could have enhanced the teams damage. A Red Valk + Plow could have been all the utility a red teams needed and gotten plays to rolls for Valks as must haves but they botched this so bad.

    1. That is why the ult, despite having lower stats, has a different setup. As far as the rows go though, losing them makes her more versatile actually. If the team is not already running rows, then the awakening is generally dead. It is different if the teams restrictions are loose enough, and a relevant assist happens to have rows (allowing for the occasional row, on a team of that attribute only of course). For a sub though, it takes away from its value if you do not intend to have rows from the start. Generally speaking, FOE would be a better universal buffer.

As for the awakenings they left, I would say they hold more relevance. Her attack stat is actually not meager, and prongs are easier to proc alongside a teams requirements. So I would not say her having them wastes awakening slots. (Not to mention that it actually fits in quite nicely with an activation requirement of Tanjiros.) Since SRevo Ama exists, having her just be a support card begs the question of why specifically would you want to run her over Ama? Since Grandis exists, it cannot be for an orb changer. And since she is not bind immune, you would either need to let her be bindable, or run an assist for it. At which point you could just run a row assist on Ama. Giving her more damage options makes her a nice offensive heal stick by comparison.

As for the Guard Break, there are two reasons why it is still there. the first is that even though it requires all attributes to be matched and present, it is still universal (especially if you compare it to rows). The other one is that Heart Breakers (especially the Valks when they were released) have been a rather Rainbow focused set of cards (making an attribute out of the only non-attribute, natural orb type). Considering These two things, it makes more sense to keep it.

Now when it comes to awakening customization, that is technically what super And latent awakenings are. While it is not to the same degree, We certainly cannot have the same system in regular PAD. The reason that one works for PAD Battle, is because the game was designed with it in mind. Regular PAD’s current awakening system does not allow for that system to be implemented, nor does it make it easy to change it to be customizable (for regular awakenings).

(As a side not, only SRevo cards are animated, not Revo. That means they would not have been animated anyway. In addition, they have been, smartly, taking advantage of cards that have likely not seen much use recently, and reworking them into Revos, instead of making entirely new ults. It makes simply makes sense.)

  4. Interesting things to note: Gigas, Gigaxe, and School Bully Gigas are buffed by this too so more cards got buffed.

    1. Unless they give buffs to those cards directly though, it is honestly irrelevant. Gigas Axe is the only one worth mentioning, if you really need the active, but the handful of other cards that share the active have no value. It is like how when Green Valk got buffed from Odin Story, but it did not affect Cu Chulainn if you were not desperate for assisting the active (although you were not necessarily using her either).
