Also known as an “Inherit”. An assist passes on their active skill to the base card that you inherit the assist onto. The assisted card’s Active Skill is granted to the base card, giving that card a secondary/inherited active skill. During gameplay, the inherited active skill doesn’t begin to charge until the card’s base active skill is fully charged. Once the inherited active skill is charged, you cannot use the base active skill. However, you can use the base active skill while the inherited active skill is charging.
Why use assists?
For more awakenings
Assists with Equip awakening, or Weapon Assists, can be used in dungeons. This is a good way to add awakenings that a base card do not possess, or to counter dungeon mechanics.
Stat Bonuses
Assisting a card onto another card with the same attribute will bestow the following stat boosts. The percentages are based on the assisted card.
- +10% of current HP
- +5% of current Attack
- +15% of current Recovery
Important notes
- Stats from +Points are transferred only if the assisted card is at +297.
- Extra stats from Latents are not transferred.
Counter skill delay mechanics
Having an assist on a base card can also counter the Skill Delay mechanic in dungeons. If an assisted card is hit with a skill delay while the inherited active is charging, the cooldown for the inherited active skill will be delayed, as opposed to the base active skill. This means you could still possibly use your first active skill in that turn! While you can feed one or multiple
Latent TAMADRA (Skill Delay Resist.) to the base card for a similar (and arguably superior) effect, this Latent TAMADRA is rare and it can be difficult to have enough for multiple teams. The relative expense of an SDR is why an assist is called a “poverty SDR” by some.Requirements
Requirements for assists are as follows:
- Must be at least Rank 130 before you can access the Assist System.
- The inherited card must be fully awoken (i.e. have all of its awakenings unlocked).
- Have a Gold Star in the upper right hand corner of the card’s icon. Cards with Green Stars (like the Monster Point (MP) Dragons ) in the upper right hand corner cannot be used as assists.
- Cards used in a team cannot be used as assist, and vice versa.
- Each assist costs 1,000,000 Gold.
