An OSC (or One-Shot Challenge) is a difficult solo-only dungeon that can come in one of two forms: a single twenty-floor dungeon or a set of dungeons (typically ten). Rewards for OSCs can vary but are always lucrative. The rules for OSCs differ from one OSC to the next, but they are fairly difficult and should be approached with much preparation.
