A type of orb that deals self-inflicted damage when matched in a combo.

A Poison Orb is a hazard that is commonly created by an enemy’s move but can also appear via poison skyfall (which in turn can originate from an enemy or from the awakening Blessing of Poison Orbs ). When matched in a combo, the poison orbs disappear and inflict damage. The damage dealt is based on the number of combos matched (20% of maximum HP for each combo) as well as the number of orbs within each combo (5% of maximum HP for each extra linked orb).

A Lethal Poison Orb is a deadlier variant of a Poison Orb that can be spawned in the same ways as a normal Poison Orb but deals significantly more damage when matched in a combo. Each combo now inflicts damage equal to 50% of maximum HP, while each extra linked orb inflicts damage equal to 12.5% of maximum HP.

Both can be resisted through the awakening Resistance-Poison , which provides a 20% chance to prevent enemy moves that spawn Poison/Lethal Poison Orbs. However, this does not protect against Poison Orbs that are created from a skyfall effect. Active skills can also convert Poison Orbs away.

Leader skills that include the effect “voids Poison damage” render Poison Orbs harmless, as matching them no longer inflicts damage.
