Every card has “rarity” assigned to it, which is displayed with stars at the top of the card. Occasionally dungeons can boost the stats of cards with a low rarity. If trying to S-Rank a dungeon, lower rarity cards improve your score; otherwise rarity is generally irrelevant and only refers to associated rolling percentages (from the REM/PEM).
